100 Vocabulary Words Kids Need to Know

     This coming up school year, I will be using the books 100 Vocabulary Words Kids Need to Know by 5th Grade and 100 Vocabulary Words Kids Need to Know by 6th Grade by Scholastic. Another 5th grade teacher and I are going to use the 5th grade book during the first semester and the 6th grade book during the second nine weeks.

    Each book consists of 10 lessons of 10 words.  We are going to use the same 10 words for two weeks. Each book has many different worksheets to use in centers or as homework practice.  I have included links below to each book, so you can check them out for yourself. The only place I found to buy both of these books is on the Scholastic's website. Click on the frogs below for word cards that I made to use in my classroom. I printed the words on card stock and laminated them. They will be posted on a word wall after they have been introduced to the students.
