This will be our whole group meeting area. The Promethean Board will be the main focus of whole group instruction. In the black bag are the ActivExpressions to be used with the Promethean Board. In the crates are folders for math, morning work, social studies, and reader's workshop.
Our Accelerated Reader theme is "Race Into Reading". Each student is assigned a magnetic car to "race" around the track by earning points when taking AR quizzes. The trophies are labeled in 10 point increments. On the other side of the Promethean Board, we will be keeping track of classroom points and percentages. Each month the class will be setting goals for each. The area that is blank will be the leader board. Each week I will be posting the leaders in our classroom.
This is our behavior board. We will be using this to determine how the behaviors are in our classroom each day. Click to find out more information about our Behavior Policy.	Students will be able to earn this card when they reach First Down, Field Goal, or TOUCHDOWN! I will write their reward on the reward line. Below is a picture of the notepad that I ordered. I will be sending notes home to parents for students whose behaviors are outstanding in class. The business cards, notepad, and banner (on the left) were purchased from Vista Print.
This is our penalty book. When students move backward on the board, they will have to fill out the behavior journal.
This is my Guided Reading Group table. It also doubles as my desk. I also have a three drawer tub, my teacher supplies, and subject tubs are filled with information for SSP, Science, Social Studies, and Math. This hat will be displayed during Reader's Workshop. It came from Vista Print.
	This chart is for work stations. The work station cards at the bottom will be placed next to the students' pictures. This is how the students know which station to attend during Reader's Workshop. On the Reader's Workshop web page I have copies of the pocket chart labels.
This is the view of the classroom from the Guided Reading table.
	Each student has a basket of materials placed on their desk. This is also where they will be keeping their ActivExpressions throughout the day. The black basket in the  middle of each group is filled with materials that the group members will be sharing. Students will earn table points when they keep their areas cleaned and stocked.
This is the Spelling Choice Board. This will be used during Spelling Station. The students have a copy of this Choice Board in their F.R.O.G. Folders
	This is the Social Studies Station.
This is where our Take It to Your Seat Stations will be during the school year.
	On this board, our class will be keeping track of what each guided reading group is reading. This board will change each time an assignment, due date, or book is changed.
On the green cabinets over the lockers is going to be our Vocabulary Word Wall. As the year progresses, we will be posting out vocabulary words.
	This is the first Social Studies board to go along with our first unit over Native Americans. You can also see another view of the word wall behind the "island".
