Unit D: Space & Technology

  One of my favorite science units is the stars and galaxy unit. The students will be learning a lot about stars. Students will be learning about the life cycle of stars, characteristics of stars, constellations, how galaxies are formed, the different types of galaxies, and they will be learning more about our closest star, the sun. This unit will be taught just before the Star Lab arrives at our school. The students will be able to visit the Star Lab to learn more about constellations.

   In fourth grade, the students learned about our solar system, so we will be reviewing the solar system, but not spending a lot of time on this subject. We will also discuss how technology affects our lives.
