Unit B: Earth Science

  In Unit B, students will be learning about water on Earth. Students will be learning about oceans, fresh water, the water cycle, and how clouds form in Chapter 7. In Chapter 8, we will be learning about weather patterns. The students will be participating in many different experiments to learn more about weather.

  In Chapter 9, the students will be learning about Earth's changing surface. The students will be learning about the structure of the Earth, what causes earthquakes and volcanoes, plate tectonics, and erosion. Students will also be learning about minerals and how to classify rocks.

  Chapter 10 deals with protecting Earth's resources. We will be learning about nonrenewable and renewable resources. We will also be learning about different types of resources.
