We have a Wiki!

   Leaping Into 5th Grade now has its very own Wiki. All new students and their families will be given a chance to join our Wiki when the school year begins in August. Click here to see our new wiki.

Thank you U.S. Cellular

   Thank you to U.S. Cellular for funding two projects through Donors Choose. U.S. Cellular funded one project that will benefit our entire school: 161 books!!! These books will be stored in the school's Literacy Library for all teachers to use.

    The second project funded is for our classroom. We will be receiving three digital cameras! How exciting is that! These cameras will be used for many different activities next year. Thank you, U.S. Cellular and Donors Choose for making the end of our school year a wonderful experience.   

Promethean Board

    Our classroom is one of two classrooms who just recently had a Promethean Board installed. It has been a wonderful addition to our class, though we all wished we had had it all year long and not just four weeks.

   The students are able to answer questions by using the Activexpressions. We are also able to go to the board and "write" right on it to show our work to our answers. It has been a wonderful experience for all of the students. Personally, I can't wait to start using it with next year's class. There are so many possibilities.
