Buzz Groups

Another way that my students discuss books is by participating in buzz groups. We will be doing this after independent reading time two to three times a week. During this time the students will be discussing the books they are reading with a partner. Each student in the group will take turns discussing the books they are reading. It is important for the students to have an opportunity to talk to another student about what they are reading. I want the students to practice talking about what they think about the books they are reading in class.
