2008 Book Floats

The project for the second 9 weeks was a book float. Each student had to pick a book, read it, write a report, develop a book float, and give an oral presentation.

The class chose a variety of different books written by different authors from different genres. Margaret Peterson Haddix's books were the most popular ones to read. Several students read her new book, Found, while others read books from the Shadow Children Series. Books by Barbara Parks were also popular with a few of the girls. Judy Blume's book, Tales of the Fourth Grade Nothing, was another book that a couple of students chose to read for this project. Overall, we had a variety of different types of books that were read.

The entire class did a wonderful job! Enjoy the pictures of each of the book floats submitted by the students. By the way, I have added links to each author's website. It is a great way to check out what other books these authors have written. Click here for the requirements of this project.
