Social Studies

  In Social Studies, we will be focusing on the Eight Strands of Social Studies. These strands include: Economics, Citizenship, Geography, Social Studies Skills, Government, History, Science, Technology, & Society, and Culture. There are nine units in our social studies textbook. We will be starting the year learning about The First Americans. We will then learn about the Europeans first coming to America, to the Fight for Independence, The Civil War, Changes in our Nation, and finally our Modern Era. We will also be working on a States Project later in the school year.
