Mountain
Math/Language
Mountain Math and Mountain Language is a program that I use daily in
my classroom. This program enables me to review key concepts on a
daily basis. Each day, the students in my classroom will be reviewing
6 math concepts and 5 language concepts. Each student will have a
Mountain Math/Language folder. In this folder they will keep their
worksheets that we are working on for the week. Each card has two
sides, this means that we will be reviewing the same math concepts and
language concepts for two day. On the third day, I will take down the
old cards and put up 5 new math concepts and 5 new language concepts.
We will work on these cards for two days and so on and so forth.
There are 4 total worksheets that we will be using with Mt.
Math/Language. These worksheets are color coded so the students know
what concepts we will be covering (Purple Day,
Green
Day, Yellow Day,
Blue Day) and it is also an
organizational tool.

For Teachers: These worksheets were developed using the Mt.
Math/Language worksheets. I did change some of the questions to
reflect vocabulary that is used in Indiana Standards. The
Purple Day worksheet covers Math Cards 1
through 6 and Language Cards 1 through 5. The
Green Day
worksheet covers Math Cards 7 through 12 and
Language Cards 6 through 10. Yellow Day
worksheet covers Math Cards 13 through 18 and Language
Cards 11 through 15. The Blue Day
worksheet covers Math Cards 19 through 24 and Language
Cards 16 through 20. Check out

directions above are for the fifth grade worksheets. I have also
included the worksheets for Grades 2 and 3 as I have also taught these
grades.
